What is supported living?
Supported living, also known as assisted living, is a service designed to assist people in their efforts to live as independently as possible. When someone enters into supported living, they receive their own tenancy agreement and live in their own home. At the same time, they receive the necessary support and care to help them thrive.
Our specialist support services are tailored to enable people to live happy, fulfilling lives in their own homes, with their own tenancies. Supported living empowers people to have greater control over their lives by offering them greater choice and control over how they live.
Who is supported living suitable for?
Supported living services are designed to assist adults with diverse conditions, presentations and support requirements. These services are inclusive of individuals on the autism spectrum, those with learning disabilities or mental health conditions, as well as those who have suffered a brain injury, complex needs or physical health conditions. At Access for Care, our expert teams are skilled in tailoring care and support to meet the unique and specific requirements of each individual.
Our approach to supported living.
Our approach to providing support and care is centred around each individual's specific needs, preferences, and goals. We prioritize a person-centred approach and our goal is to empower people to make their own choices about how they live their lives.
We also offer tailored care pathways from our independent hospitals and residential care settings. Moving to a supported living environment can be a significant change, which is why we carefully plan each transition to ensure that it is a smooth and positive experience for each new tenant.
